This ranks as one of my top favorite smoothies!! It's terrific before morning workouts when you want something light, or a great choice for breakfast anytime when a quick smoothie sounds like the perfect plan for the day. Hemp seed is a great way to add a good and tasty source of protein to the smoothie. In cooler weather, we prefer to warm up the smoothie in a pan over low heat for a couple minutes, just to take the chill out of it.
If using hemp seeds, first blend them with about 1/2 cup of the almond milk into a thick cream. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth. Divide into two glasses and enjoy!
